You have two options for registering your new vehicle:

Option 1: Via the selling professional

In most cases, the registration request can be made directly with the professional who sells you the vehicle (dealership, garage).

You can make the request online via the teleservice of the Agence nationale des titres sécurisés (ANTS):

• 📄 Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, PDF

⚠️ Important: It is no longer possible to request a registration certificate at the prefecture or sub-prefecture.

The documents to provide differ depending on whether you have the Cerfa form n°13749 ("3-in-1") provided by the manufacturer or not.

✅ Mandatory documents (general case):

• Cerfa form n°13749 ("3-in-1") if provided by the manufacturer
• European Certificate of Conformity (COC) issued by the manufacturer
• Purchase invoice for the vehicle
• Valid identity document
• Proof of address less than 6 months old
• Vehicle insurance certificate
• Driving license corresponding to the vehicle category

Important: You must certify on your honor that you have an insurance certificate and a valid driving license. A copy of the license may be requested during the processing of the application.

At the end of the procedure, you obtain 3 elements:

• 📝 Acknowledgement of receipt of your request
• 📨 Provisional registration certificate (CPI) to print

✅ The CPI allows you to drive for 1 month, only in France, while waiting to receive your definitive registration certificate.

The cost of the registration certificate is variable. It depends in particular on:
